It is common knowledge that the Filipino people will travel far and wide in search of good paying work, but the same can not be said for the people who are seeking leisure. The latest Agoda.com research suggests that the Filipino people prefer to travel and explore their own country rather than go overseas. With a country containing so many islands, who can blame them.

Looking at the Agoda Travel and Tech Study, the data suggests that the vast amount of quiet scenic locations is what grabs their attention. It is not always about the big city experience or urban lifestyle. Filipino vacationers prefer to explore landscapes, islands (of which there are many) and natural wonders Research shows 74% of millennial Filipino travelers identifying nature as a top holiday priority. This is demonstrated by the popularity of destinations such as Cebu, Boracay Islands, and Palawan.
